The Union RPG

he smiled, "A kiss would help get me through it." he had liked her for a while but was sure nothing would come of it. she wasn't the social type and that included a dating life. she was all about work but in here he didn't have to tip toe around it any more. he could be as forward as he pleased because who knew how long he had any more

Her eyes widened slightly. She had been expecting him to suggest how she could get him out, not ask for a kiss. She nodded slightly before leaning in and gently, but firmly kissing him.


Diana smiled coldly as she watched the surveillance of the cells. Getting to Xander would be easier than she thought. She stood up and grabbed the file. She walked the short distance to Loren's office and stuck her head in. "Come on, its time to talk to Xander. I may need your help."

Xander was a little surprised by the strength of the kiss. he wished the bars weren't between them. his hand slipped out and behind her head as eh kissed her back. he had imagined this first kiss so differently so many times. it would have been standing outside looking at the stars after a nice dinner. or after a great achievement that one of them had succeeded in. her lips were so soft and now pressed against his he breathed in her gentle sent.

Loren sighed, "Diana perhaps we give him some more time and he will come around. he is one of ours."

she pulled away slightly, stunned by her actions. she stared at him for a moment while she tried to collect her thoughts. She never imagined kissing him would feel that incredible. "I'll get you out of here," she whispered.


"We both know that will never happen. He ran and now he has to pay the price for his actions." Diana smiled slightly. "And now I know just what to do to get him to talk."

Xander smiled a little, "don't put yourself in harms way for me." he said his thumb gently caressing her cheek

"Don't look like you enjoy this. its sick." he had had it with her. a week ago he didn;t mind her but lately she had become...something he didn't like at all

Brit smiled slightly. "I'll be carefull.but I will get you out."


"We need the information he has." Diana said. "And I'll get it."

"One more for the road?" he asked his smile matching hers


"No, I will," he corrected standing up, "you will be the one standing to the side grinning that disturbing grin while I tears a friend to shreds." he snapped

She leaned in and returned her lips to his. Her hands rested on his chest.


"Then you'll need this," Diana handed Loren the file she was holding. In it were pictures of Xander and Brit from when they worked together, include a picture of them kissing from a few minutes ago. "Use Brit ahgainst him if you need to."

Xander kissed her back knowing this could be his last kiss from her...or ever for that matter

"What happened to you?" he barked not even looking at the file

She stepped as close to him as she could. If she didn't get him out of here she knew Diana would kill him.


"I adapted." She said coldly. "I enjoy knowing I don't have to always look over my shoulder and I plan on keeping it that way."

Xander didn't want to put he slowly pulled his lips from hers, "don't want to get you in trouble."

Loren shook his head and brushed past her, "one of these days you will get what you deserve and you will never see it coming."

"Probably to late for that." Brit said quietly.

"We all will," Diana said as she followed him. "But I'm just doing my job."

Xander chuckled a little but then stepped away from the bars

Loren stopped and turned to face her, "No. you have taken that slogan and sold your soul to the devil."

Brit forced a smile. "I'll see you later." She stepped back. "Stay alive."


"You're no better," Diana spat. "You'll do whatever you have to to get answers."

Xander smiled, "I'll do my best."

"But the difference is I don't enjoy it." he hissed stepping up to her his face inches from hes, "I know what I am and I don't take any pleasure in it...ever."

Brit smiled. "Good, I'll try to come back later."


"You'd be more fun if you did," she said. "You need to loosen up Loren, enjoy your job."

Lorens eyes narrowed,"you want me to enjoy torturing people to the point of death?" How sick could she be

"If you hate it that much you could always do something else." Diana stepped back. "Xander is waiting."

"if I hadn't been trained to be so good at what I do I might." He said his tone cool but his eyes were burning at her.

"Cheer up Loren, you don't want to be in a bad mood for your dinner with Brit," Diana said with a smirk.

he wasn't surprised that she knew. she enjoyed playing god and spying on everyone at all times. he didn't say a word just started walking

Diana followed him, the smirk still on her face. Xander would tell them what they wanted and then she'd use brit to get her sister.

One night by himself was more than enough. he wasn't a loaner but the thought of going to the Union willingly...that terrified him even more than being alone. but they were depending on him. he fingered the flash drive in his hands sitting in the dingy abandoned building. he hadn't cleaned himeslf in three days before this to give him a good dirty look. he wa sure he looked terrible. he felt like a dog honestly

she coulnd't have been more than about five three her curly afro gave her another half a foot though so she didn't look too short. her skin was so dark she would blend with a dark room no problem though her brightly colored clothes would be harder to hide. she walked into the holding cell where Audrey was being held. she carried a tray full of food and a smile rested comfortably on her dark face.

Scott nodded in agreement and continued packing up the bags, though he had to admit to himself that his actions were a bit faster now.

Audrey's head snapped up when the door opened. She was sitting in the corner, her legs drawn against her chest and her chin on her knees. She tried not to stare at the food, but her stomach grumbled at the smell. She pushed herself into a standing position and watched the woman warily.

She set the food on the table. There was a dish of mashed potatoes, a fresh salad with dressing, and all the trimmings. There was a plate with a few pieces of rotisserie chicken and two pieces od freshly baked bread. There was a glass of fresh water and another juice.

"That's a lot of food," it came out before she could stop herself. That was more food than she'd seen in a long time. More fresh food than she's seen in a while.

"we figured you would be hungry." She said her voice light and soft

Shouldn't they be starving her? Shouldn't they be trying to force her to see it their way? This didn't make any sense. Unless the food was drugged. She looked over the food, appraising. But her mouth watered. She'd had breakfast the day before, but hadn't eaten since then. Her stomach grumbled again, but she stayed where she was.

She watched her for a moment then chuckled," its not poisoned if that's what you are thinking." She said racing out. She pulled off a small piece of chicken dipped it into the mashed potatoes and ate it.

"Not to spit on your generosity, but why not?" Audrey asked.

"We are not animals," she said frowning a bit," it's sad that you seem to think we are."

"Animals would not be the word I would use," Audrey replied. "But thank you for the hospitality." She wasn't sure if that was the correct word. "Where is my friend? Xander. He was with me and.. where is he?"

"hes fine. Being held till they can figure out what to do." She replied calmly

"What... what would they do?" she asked. "They're not going to hurt him, are they?"

"no...just talk to him." She assured Audrey

Audrey nodded. "Okay, thanks." Just talk to him? Well that was good. She didn't want her friend hurt.

"go ahead and eat." She said with a little nod and headed for the door

"Thank you," Audrey said again. "For the food. I am very hungry." It was perhaps, a little hard to force out, but this woman was kind. Less cocky than Loren had been and she had brought food.

She smiled over her shoulder then left the cell

Audrey sat at the table and began to eat, every bite tasting better than the last. Perhaps she should have stood on her principle and not eaten, maintaining that the union was a dictatorship and she wanted nothing to do with it, but starving herself wouldn't do anything to prove that. She tried to push those thoughts out of her head as she ate.
