Brooklynn's hands gripped his shirt, tightly.

"What?" The red head practically barked the question

Braden smiled,"i think I'm the lucky one."

Jeff rolled his eyes again,"no thanks mommy."

Carl could hardly breath his heart was pounding so loudly he was sure she could hear

That made her laugh. "Maybe."

The car pulled to a stop in front of Brooklynn's house but she didn't pull away.

Paige shrunk back, "let me help," she said quietly.


Sam couldn't help but feel hurt. The months they'd spent together were gone, just gone but she still loved him but to him she was just a friend. "If you keep doing that you're going to hurt yourself," she said.

Braden couldn't help the smile that seemed to have taken up permanent residence on his lips, "should we go back to Sasha or let her just have fun eating by herself?"

Carl didn't want to but he slowly pulled his lips from hers, " I think we are here."

jeff chuckled, "I think thats a given...I tend to hurt myself on a regular basis." he slumped onto the couch, " I have got to quit mixing my liquor."

Nikki glared at her for a moment then stood up, "don't think too highly of yourslef Paige," she almost spat her name, "come to school tomorrow I don't care but don' think you or anyone else can fix anything in my life. the fixing has to happen before its too late and guess what...it was too late 5 years ago."

Sam sank down beside him. "That would probably be a good idea, or at least do it in smaller quantities."


"Its never to late," Paige insisted. She stood up. "Things can always get better if you're willing to let people help."

Jaimie sighed. "I suppose we should go back to her."

"Yeah, I guess," Brooklynn nodded. "Can I see you tomorrow?" she asked. She had to think of a way to keep him from going to school on Monday. There had to be a way.

jeff took a deep breath, "so when is your moms wedding again?"

nikki shook her head, " you spoiled uptown brat." she said then started to walk

Carl smiled, "of course...I'd really like that."

Braden chuckled, " don't look so disappointed."

Sam had to think for a minute, "a little over two months away. You're still coming, right?" she asked. He had promised to come, he was going to save almost every dance for her.


Paige stood, "you're not the only one who's been through hell," she yelled after her.

She smiled, but took his face in her hands. "Braden, I want to marry you." Two months of thinking him dead, thinking he was gone forever and... well she would think about THAT later, but she couldn't risk it.

Brooklynn nodded. "Good. Then I'll see you tomorrow," she smiled. She opened the car door. "Walk me in?" she asked.

jeff nodded, " wouldn't miss it...plus your sister would be super bummed," he said teasingly

Nikki's left hand shot up the middle finger the only one fully extended.

Carl slid out of the car behind her and took her hand in the crook of his arm walking her back to her door like a gentleman

Braden looked confused. he felt a little confused. overjoyed yes but also very confused. only two months ago she wasn't sure if she wanted to be exclusive and now, "Are...you sure?"

Sam laughed, "she wouldn't be the only one," she teased back.

Paige glared at Nikki. She had to stop this, some how. She couldn't tell the school, they wouldn't believe here but she could at least keep Jarid from going.

Brooklynn smiled, enjoying the feeling of him walking her in like that. When they reached the door, the light flickered on and Brooklynn smiled. "Thanks for the fun night."

"It's... I know it's what I want. And... and I'm scared and nervous, and worried, but..." she hesitated. "If there is anyone I want to be with, it's you." After those two months, she was sure of it.

Jeff closed his eyes, "my head is going to kill me later. How are you feeking?"

Braden couldn't fight the joy that he felt,"wow...I...wasn't expecting a yes."

"We should do it again." Carl said

Horrible, she felt horrible. Being this close to him but having to hide her feelings was killing her. "I'm alright." She said as she looked at him

"I know you weren't," Jaimie replied, pressing a kiss to his lips.

"Anytime you want," she assured him. She pressed a chaste kiss to his lips.

Jeff raised one eyebrow,"you sure?"

Carl smiled as the kiss parted,"see you tomorrow?"

Braden pressed into the kiss. He loved her

"Of course. I'll call you," she agreed before opening her door. "Good night," she smiled. She still couldn't explain what had happened, there was no way to explain it.

Jaimie pulled away when she heard her sister clearing her throat. Jaimie smiled and put her forehead against Braden's chest, avoiding her sister's look, which clearly said that she was not amused by the constant making out and abandoning her.

she reached up and ruffled his hair, "yeah. I didn't drink as much as you did," she said, forcing a smile.

Braden chuckled, "hey," he grinned. He knew she could read his lips

Carl smiled and stepped back watching her go into her house. It has been a brilliant evening

Jeff chuckled, "oo miss perfect."

"Can you not?" Sasha signed. "And I thought we were eating dinner."

Brooklynn went inside, grinning, but was soon reminded what would come on Monday. She had to keep him safe.

Sam laughed, "maybe I can hold my liquor better than you," she teased. He looked so adorable with his drunken smile, she just wanted to kiss him.

Braden nodded and let Jaime go, "sorry," he signed,"lets finish eating."

"i think you might." He chuckled

Jaimie nodded but she didn't go back into the kitchen before she had kissed Braden again. Sasha rolled her eyes and went back into the kitchen. "Will you stay over tonight?" she asked softly.

She looked at him for a moment, "what are you thinking about?"

"what about sasha?" He asked

"Just that im lucky to have you." Jeff said slowly

"I'm the lucky one," Sam said. She reached up and cupped his cheek.

"It'll be fine. Please," she said softly.

Jeff smiled opening his eyes,"if you say so."

Braden nodded," ok...I'd like to."

Ooc: I saw that sun. I'm on my phone so doing two is a lot right now

ooc: oh, okay! No worries. I just wanted to make sure you knew.

Jaimie smiled. "Thank you," she breathed before taking him back into the kitchen. "Sorry," she signed to Sasha.

Sam smiled at him, not moving her hand. "It's true. Who else would just hangout with me ?"

"sorry," Braden signed," its what happens when your in love."

"i don't know. You are such a pain." He teased

Sam laughed, "but you love me anyway." She said without thinking

Jaimie ducked her head and smiled. She squeezed his hand and took her seat back at the table.

Jeff gave a nodd,"guilty as charged."

The dinner went on without hardly anything more being said. Braden was ecstatic. His parents were going to freak

Once she had finished, Sasha was out of the room again. Jaimie picked up her bowl and took it to the sink, washing the dishes. She had to keep him home from school on Monday.

He brought his dishes up to the sink then slipped his hands around her waist from behind

Jaimie smiled and turned off the water, turning to look at him. "Hey you," she said before kissing him.

He kissed her for a moment, "you seem happy."

"I am. Extremely," she smiled. "You have no idea," she added.
