Brooklynn smiled. "Are you surprised?"

She nodded. "That makes sense, I suppose."

"Pleasantly but yes very surprised."

Braden touched her face, "i can't see myself with anyone else at this point."

Ooc: if you want anything to happen with Carl and Brooklyn you may want to have it happen. My surprise grows more devious by the day

ooc: good lord. ughhh now I am worrying about poor brooklynn and carl.

Brooklynn grinned and leaned in, kissing him.

She leaned her head into his hand. She couldn't see why, especially after the trouble they'd gotten in to.

"I can do it," Sam said. She pulled the trashcan out and started picking up the few large pieces of glass.

Ooc: you should all be worried...mwahahaha. but seriously I'm tempted to really...really shake shake things up. Oh and girls o need your permission to do whatever I please with one of each of your characters. And remember its possible the could get dismembered, drowned by a giant wave, swallowed by the earth...you never know

Carl kissed her but quickly ended the kiss. He wanted to kiss her mote but standing in the middle of the dance floor wasn't the right place

Jeff stated helping her the reached out and stopped her, "sam, let me do it."

ooc: I'd like my characters to be alive, but I guess I could give you permission.

ic: "Want to dance some more?" Brooklynn asked softly.

"You're too good to me, you know that?"

Ooc: You have my permission but try not to kill anyone, its to early for that


"I've got it," she put the glass he was holding into the trash can. She reached for the last piece, "ouch." She dropped the piece into the trash can and looked at the growing spot of blood on her finger. "The vacuum is beside the fridge, I better clean this." She stood and headed for the bathroom.

ooc: reading back to my last ooc I am realizing my vocabulary ran away with me for a second. I was being way over dramatic so don't worry I won't kill any of your characters but my question was is it ok if they maybe come out of it hurt. I am still not 100% sure how this is going to play out . hope I didn't scare you two too much.

Carl took a deep breath, " I would love to though I would love to do..." he motioned between them, "do this too...I just...there are a lot of peole."


Braden chuckled," I don't think I am...but I'm glad you do."

Jeff got the vaccume and cleaned up the remainder of the glass then went into the bathroom where sam was, "How is it?"

ooc. I think hurt is fine as long as they can recover or there is the possibility for them to recover

"Ok, I think," Sam said looking away from the cloth she had pressed to her finger. "I'l just put a band-aid on and it'll be fine."

he nodded, "Sam..." he stepped in and took her hand removing the cloth

She looked up at him, "how bad is it?

he reached over and turned on the faucet, " its nothing a band aid can't handle." he said dipping hte cloth under the running water and dabbing it to her cut

She winced. "That hurts." She knew that made her sound like a child but she had a very low pain tolerance and hated the sight of blood.

he chuckled," I'm sorry but its almost over." he pulled out the neosporin and and a band aid. he dabbed on the ointment then secured it with the band.

"Thanks," she smiled. "Good as new." She was very away of how close they were, before she wouldn't have even noticed.

he nodded, " yeah." lifting her hand to his lips he kissed the bandaid

She stared at him for a minute before pulling her hand away. "Do you want that glass of water now?"

his eyebrows pulled together, "Sam...What did...."

Sam smiled and stepped around him. "I'm gonna get a drink, do you want one?" She needed to put some distance between them, him being so close was messing with her emotions

Ic: "no, I get it," she smiled. "Let's dance."

the next hour flew by between the flips the twists and the trombone slides. carl felt the perspiration soaking through his shirt by the end of it.


"So thats it...you are going to give me the cold shoulder now that we'ce had sex?" he asked following her

"Can we sit?" Brooklynn panted. "Just for like, a minute?" She laughed. "I need some water! Or something!"

Sam stopped and turned to facing him, standing in the middle of the hall way. "What do you want me to do?" She demanded. "I can't think straight with you that close to me. Not any more. I just want to kiss you but I can't." She threw her hands up. "I don't know what you want."

Carl laughed, " absolutely." he led her to one of the many tables around the room with chairs around it, "I'll get some water."

"I want..." he stopped, "wait...why can't you?"

"Thanks," she smiled. "You are wonderful."

he returned with two ice cold glaces of water, "here you are beautiful."

"Wouldn't that just make things more complicated?" she asked. "What do you want?"

"Thank you so much," brooklynn smiled, taking thre drink.

"I don't know Sam...I don't know what will make this more complicated. I've never been in this situation."

Carl smiled and drank his water. it began to cool him off and it tasted so good, "how are you feeling? ready to go?"

"Not unless you want to. I mean, tired, but I could dance more. "

Sam ran her fingers through her hair before turning and walking the rest of the way to the kitchen. She pulled a glass out and filled it with water. She took a sip then set it down. Her hands were shaking. "Do you want a drink?" she asked as she pressed her hand to the counter top.

"Just don't kill yourself." he chuckled as he finished his water, " ready?"

ooc: unless you are planning on something happening while they are dancing you are more than welcome to god mod farther in teh evening

"No...I think we determined by having sex that we had had too much already." he said a little confused, "Sam I need to know what you are thinking how you are feeling. You;ve never shut me out before."

"Water," she said. "Do you want a glass of water?" She felt like she had already had this conversation, it was so similar to the last one she'd had with David. "I'm confused...and scared," she said quietly.

"Why are you scared?" he asked stepping towards her

"Because I mess things up," she said, not turning around. "I've ruined every good thing that's ever happened to me. I'm self destructive."

"How...how do you figure?" he asked

Her hands tighten on the edge of the counter. She couldn't tell him, he would never look at her again if he knew the truth, why David really tried to kill himself, what they had done. "Because I push people away."

"you didn't with me till now." he sighed walking up to her and turning her to face him, "Sam don't push me out."

She slowly looked up at him. "You couldn't hurt me before," she said. "But now you can and pushing you out is the only way I can protect myself." She didn't want to push him away but she didn't know how not to.
