"Well if thats what you want," he said taking a cookie. is that what she really wanted? there were two conversations he wanted to finish right now but she didn't seem interested in either. this was going to be difficult

he shook his head looking down, "I'm not someone who is used to not finishing a conversation. then again my conversations with other people are usually academic and not like...this."

"Look, I don't want to talk about that... whole thing because it wasn't a great situation and I don't like to talk about it. Do you have to have the gritty details for this to be resolved?" she demanded, sounding more upset than she had meant to.

"No, I suppose not," he said looking away from her. how badly had he screwed up this time? it was bad, bad enough for her to not want to talk about it. now he wanted to know more so he could help but there was no way she would talk about it and that was obvious.

Brooklynn sighed. Maybe she should go. If he wasn't going to drop this and was going to act like that, then it was just going to bug her. "I should go."

"No don't...don't go." he stood up and walked over to her, "I'm sorry I've just never....Ive never wanted to know everything about someone and i've never wanted to help someone so much so thats..." he took her hand, "don't leave."

he would let it go. he waited a moment and then pulled her close up against him slipping one arm around her waist

he started to move his feet a smile spreading over his face, " you know...a year ago if you had told me I would be dancing in close proximity with a girl that wasn't part of my swing club I'd have told you you were crazy."

he breathed into the kiss his arm on her waist wrapping around to the small of her back pulling her against him as he returned the kiss.

now that he had a free hand he wrapped it around her back as well. it slid up to rest between ehr shoulder blades hsi arms bringing her as close as they could. how was this his life? how was he the guy with the great girlfriend? it escaped him.
