He nodded. "That sounds good," he agreed.

she smiled up at him. "I don't really care what we do as long as we're together."

"I have to admit, I'm glad you feel that way," he said with a laugh.

she laughed, "I'm glad you're glad." she leaned up and gave him a quick kiss

He grinned and looked around. "Do you know where we are? I think I may or may not be lost."

She looked around, shaking her head. "I have no idea. Maybe we should get a cab."

He smiled and stepped to the side of the sidewalk. After a few moments with his hand out, a cab pulled up. He opened the door for her, motioning for her to get in.

she slid in and waited for him to get in. She couldn't believe they had gotten lost but it was funny

"Central park, please," Jarid told the driver as he got in. The man agreed and they took off, Jarid still holding Paige's hand.

"I guess I haven't been here long enough to know my way around," she laughed

"I thought I did, but I guess not," he replied with a shrug.

"It just gives us a fun story to tell," she smiled

He agreed with a nod as the driver pulled over. Jarid handed the man money and slid out, holding the door open for Paige.

She got out and took his hand. "We made it," she grinned.

"So we did," he agreed. "Didnt take too long."

"Nope," she said. "Its so beautiful here. I can't wait till spring to see all the flowers."

"Yeah, though fall is nice, right?" He asked.

"Yeah, I love to see the leaves change. That didn't happen much in California. And then comes winter and snow," she said, grinning.

He laughed. "That's true. Do you do any winter sports?"

"Do snow ball fights count?" she asked. "I used to snow board."

"Of course they do," he grinned. "And that's cool. Where'd you do that? Visit any mountains in Colorado?"

"Yeah, we went to Colorado a few times when I was little and Montana," she said

"Cool," he nodded. "Did you do any other sports?"

"Soccer and swimming. What about you? Do you play any sports?" She asked

"Used to play soccer. Now not so much," he replied.

"We should play sometime," she sugested. "But when its warm."

"Yeah," he laughed. "That sounds good."

"Do you still have your uniform?" She asked with a grin.

He had to think for a moment. "I might, I'm not really sure."

"i would expect she would. She's lucky to have you." Braden smiled

Brooklynn was sure she could do it. She could save the school, she would call the police and tell them there would be a shooting. That would solve it, it had to. She gave Carl another smile and took his hand as they walked. "My parents really enjoyed having you over yesterday."

"I think you figure into it too. She really likes having you around," Jaimie replied.

Carl smiled, "im glad. Wasn't sure I stacked up well enough."

"well I hope to be able to be assertions for a while." He said lifting her hand and kidding the bank of it

Ooc: sorry about the sporadic posting the last few weeks. My phone has been wigging out lately

ooc: it's cool. I'm starting work tomorrow, so I won't be able to be on till evening-ish most weekdays. So, I'll be a bit sporadic myself.

"Are you serious? I think my parents would love to have you for their kid," Brooklynn laughed.

"Me too," Jaimie agreed before Sasha joined them, commenting that they were walking too slow.
"Sorry," Jaimie signed back with a laugh. "And it's not like we have to hurry, we could take as long as we want."

carl looked at her sideways. he wondered for a second if she meant way more with that comment but shook it off, "so what else would you like to do or is a stroll in the park all you had in mind?"

"What else do you want to do if we are supposed to hurry?" Braden asked with a smile

"A stroll was all I had in mind, but I'm open to hearing ideas," she replied, missing the look he had sent her way.

"I want to see all of the animals," Sasha replied.
"Which will take more time if we go slow," Jaimie pointed out. "And that means more time away from the house."
Sasha had to agree with that logic, though her excitement didn't want her to go slow.

"No ideas here but we could always got to my house and swim or anything just hang out." he smiled


Braden chuckled seeing her rush off again to the next set of animals, "what if we got an apartment?"

"That would be fun," Brooklynn agreed. "Whatever you want to do."

Jaimie smiled at the idea. "You that eager to move in with me?" she teased.

"I was just..." Braden looked down but his face was still wearing a soft smile, "I just want to help you and sasha...and if you weren't at your place you wouldn't have to deal with your mom." he shrugged

Jaimie bumped his shoulder slightly, smiling. "I know. You're always thinking of what's best for her and I."

he smiled looking up at her. this was a good life.

The day passed slowly as they walked the park, went out for coffee and pastries at that same coffee cart by the school then headed back to Carls place. they Played games and his mom made tehm cookies with a big southern smile.
