nyc prep continued

Paige stood and slowly made her way on to the ice. "This isn't so bad," she said, holding onto the railing.

Jarid laughed from behind her, where he was taking very shaky steps. "I'll take your word for it."

"Maybe this was a bad idea," paige said as she slowly turned to face him.

He laughed, "Don't give up already. Come on," he took her hand and slowly pulled her away from the wall.

Paige slowly started to move forward but didn't let go of his hand. "This isn't so bad."

He smiled and pulled her along as he gained some confidence. "Not bad at all."

"Don't go so fast," she said, holding onto his arm. "I don't want to fall."

He nodded and slowed. "It;s not that bad, Paige. Come on, you can do it."

She took a deep breath and started to move a little fast. "Okay, you're right. It's not that bad."

He grinned and tried to let go of her hand.

She let go of his hand but stayed close to him.

Braden chuckled then quickly leaned over pressing a wet sloppy brotherly kiss to Sasha's cheek

Jarid kept an eye on her as he sped up a little. 

Sasha made a face and pushed him away. "Gross! Stop it!"

Braden laughed sitting back, " that's what you get."

"You're really good at this," Paige said, watching him.

Jarid shrugged. "Guess I'm just a little eager to fall and hurt myself," he replied. 

Sasha wiped her cheek, shooting him a dirty look with very little power behind it.

Paige laughed, skating a little faster. "Just don't hurt yourself to much."

He laughed. "Yeah, okay."

He grinned taking Jaime's hand. The ride was a short one but it was nice.

Paige skated for a while then went over and leaned against the wall, watching him. She still had to think of a way to keep him safe tomorrow.

Once they were back to the apartment, they found a note from their mother, saying that she wouldn't be back till late in the evening. That gave Sasha something to smile. 

He looked over, quizzical. "What's up?"

Paige smiled, "nothing, just thinking." she skated over to him.

"Okay," Jarid smiled. "You want to stay? Or should we go?"

"Its getting late, why don't we head out. Maybe get some dinner?" she suggested.

"Sounds great," he agreed, moving off the ice.

Paige had her skates off and shoes back on in record time. "Where should we go for dinner?"

"There's a good Chinese place around here," he offered.

"That sounds fantastic," she said."After maybe we can get ice cream?" she asked with a grin

He nodded. "Yeah, perfect."

Paige kissed him, "great. lets go."

He took her hand and they started walking. It was only a couple blocks from the rink, so it wasn't a long walk at all.

Paige found them a small table in the corner. "It smells so good," she said

"So should I go?" Braden asked after they had eaten the order in dinner. He still wasnt sure how this was going to look around get Mon

Jarid nodded in agreement. "It's all really good," he promised.

"I guess," Jaimie frowned. "But first... what about tomorrow?" she asked. She had to get him to stay home. There had to be something, someway.

"Do you want to get a few things and share?" She asked

"Sure," he agreed. "What do you normally like to get?"

he took her face in his hands, " we can celebrate just after school ok." he kissed her, "if we are going to move in together I have to be responsible."

Her eyes widened. "Braden... please. Just one last time, I won't ask you to skip again. Please, let's just not go to school tomorrow."

"Why is it so important?" he asked a little worried, "I mean if its that important I guess.."

"It's just..." She couldn't tell him, he would think she was crazy. "I just... I have a bad feeling about it. Let's just not go. Please?"
