"Would you like to fix that tonight?" he asked

"Yes," she said quickly. "How are you sleeping?"

"I'll sleep better tonight."

She leaned up and pressed her lips to his. "we should clean up," she said after a few moments.

"You rest...I'll clean it up." he offered

She was going to protest but decided against it, "okay. thanks."

he kissed her quickly then set to cleaning up

Sam made her way to his bed room. She kicked her shoes off and climbed into his bed. She never wanted to leave.

"Take your time," he smiled. He sat on the couch and pet Zeus on the head.

Jaimie picked up Sasha from school, denying that anything was wrong when the 14 year old asked.

Paige smiled, "see. I told you he likes you." She got Zeus' food and brought it into the living room.

jeff finished cleaning up and set the tea kettle on for something hot.

Sam got up after a few minutes, she couldn't just lay here and do nothing. She silently walked up behind him and slid her arms around him.

he closed his eyes setting his hands over hers, "Sam...what are we?"

She didn't know how to answer, they had never talked about it. "What do you want us to be?"

"I asked you first," he said with a slight chuckle

Jarid laughed. "Yeah you were right," he said as the cat rubbed his head against Jarod's hand.

"We're together," she said. "And...I love you," she said softly.


Paige put the food on the floor and Zeus jumped down and started eating. "What movie do you want to watch?"

he smiled slowly turning around to face her, " you love me?"

she looked up at him, a smile on her face. "Yes, I love you."

he swallowed against the next question, "are...are you in love with me?"

Sam looked down for a minute, thinking. "Yes," she admitted as she looked up at him. "I am."

"Oh." he hadn't been expecting that. he leaned down his forehead against hers

"Oh?" She asked quietly. That's not exactly what she'd been expecting.

"I just...wasn't expecting it." he said quietly

"You didn't answer my question," she said after a minute. "What do you want us to be?"

"I want us to be together." he answered

She nodded, "me too." She wanted to know how he felt about her but she wouldn't ask, he wanted them to be together and that was good enough, at least for now.

he leaned in gently kissing her. he was glad they had finally ironed that out

she pulled him closer as she kissed him back. She would eventually have to tell her mother they were together

He let her lead the kiss . She loved him. It was a strange thought but he couldn't deny that he liked it

"brooklyn I thought I saw you cone on." His mother's voice tripled fro. The door of the game room

"Great," Jarid smiled, putting his arm arou d her shoulder as they sat.

"Hi mrs dyllin," Brooklynn smiled, standing from the couch.

"Yeah, do you want to watch a movie or something?" Sam asked


"This is nice," Paige said. A few minutes into the movie Zeus jumped onto the couch and laid down beside Jarid.

"It is," Jarid agreed. With Zeus's movement, he laughed and began to pet the cat.

"sure." Jeff nodded with a smile the. The tea kettle whistled, "you want anything."

Paige laughed, "I think he likes you more than me."


"Mint tea would be nice," Sam said. "Do you want me to pick a movie?"

"He's got good taste," Jarid teased with a big grin.

"He does," Paige agreed with a grin. "I still think you need a pet."
