nyc prep continued

She nodded, "just as cuddly as my cat," she teased

"So it wasn't a dream then?" Was she being confusing on purpose?

"It didn't seem like a dream. And... And it felt too long to be a dream. It was months, bray. For months you were dead."

"I'm better than your cat," Jarid replied with a grin.

Paige laughed, "yeah, I guess you are."

Jarid laughed. "Glad you agree."

"Do you want something to drink?" She asked. "I think there;s some soda in the fridge."

"I'm okay for right now, thanks," he shrugged.

She nodded, "okay. " she shifted so she was sitting beside him. "Thanks for coming over."

"Why...I...I mean...who...." he shook his head trying to get his brain around it

"You're welcome," he nodded. "I always want to spend time with you."

"I'm not crazy," she insisted again.

She smiled, "I'm glad, I like spend time with you too."

he wasn't exactly sure of that. "why did I die?"

"Because of some school shooter... I don't know why she was doing it... but it happened."

Jarid grinned and pulled her close to him again. "Good."

"Oh..." that at least made more sense then someone just going after him

"I'm not crazy Braden. It happened. I promise."

Paige leaned in and kissed him. "You are cuddly," she teased.

"Yeah, I am," he agreed, pulling her into his lap.

She draped her arms around his shoulders. "Am I cuddly?"

"I think that...I..." he let out a long breath, "I will...its all a bit out there Jaime."

"The cuddliest," Jarid replied.

"I know," Jaimie agreed. "I know."

She grinned and leaned closer. "You just think that because you dont have any pets."

He wasnt sure what to say from there. What was there to say?

Ooc: does anyone want to skip ahead in union?

Ooc: That's fine with me

"Maybe, but I still think you're the cuddliest."

"I don't know why nothing happened today, but I swear Braden, it was supposed to happen."

"So why did you go then?"

"Well, that's sweet," she said. "But you're cuddlier."

"Because I didn't die. I wasn't shot," Jaimie replied.

"Yeah, guess so," he grinned.

Paige grinned and leaned in to kiss him. "I'm really glad I told you I like you."

Braden ribbed his eyes. Just thinking about it made his head hurt.

"Me too," Jarid grinned, leaning his head against her shoulder.

"I'm sorry." Jaimie said. "I don't understand it either."

"Would have said anything...if I hadn't told you?" she asked quietly

"Probably... Eventually..." he said with a frown.

"Eventually?" she replied. "I guess its good I told you then."

"Me too," he grinned. "Makes it much easier."

She nodded, smiling. "Well I'm just glad you feel the same way."

He grinned. "Of course."

She leaned in and kissed him. "I could get used to this," she said with a grin.

"Good. I think that's the point," Jarid replied with a laugh.

"I think you're right," paige agreed. "The whole relationship thing is new to me though, so I could be wrong."


Ooc: I made it the next day in union

Staring out of her bedroom window she let her hands just feel the metal that should have brought justice today. what had happened? that Chick, who the heck was she? she had spoiled everything and nearly got her caught in the process. she didn't mind going to jail, really, but only after Justice was served.  

Braden let out another long sigh, "so I was dead but now I am not and you were sure there was going to be a shooting today but there wasn't."

Carl liked this, walking hand in hand with Brooklyn. it felt, natural some how. he still couldn't quite put his finger on Brooklyn's mood. she had been acting a little strange all day.
