She looked at him for a minute, trying to read his emotions. "You don't exactly seem surprised. Like I said, check her."

he shook his head, "and you are who to be telling me what I should and shouldnt do maam." he snapped

"I'm a concerned citizen and I owe it to her father to keep her out of trouble," she said.

"Leave my father out of it," nikki hissed her arms crossed over her chest, " she is referring to Officer Lighlty Sir." real tears filled her eyes this time, "I have no idea who this person is," her tears spilled over her voice choked the emotion flooding her. the officer knew the name...everyone on the force did he nodded.
"can I go?" she asked slapping the tears off her face

"Just check her back pack," Sam pleaded. "If I'm wrong then she can go, but what if I'm right? There are over 400 students in that school. Do you really what to take that chance?"

"Fine...look in the bag," Nikki's eyes were tear filled as she held the bag out to the officer

Braden headed over to her place. he was still confused about her instance on staying away from school but he wasn't going to question that

The apartment was empty when Braden got there.

Jaimie shifted in her desk, eye on the clock. Soon. Soon it would be over and then she could go home to Braden.

Sam looked at the office then back to Nikki. She knew the tears were all just an act but the officer wouldn't.

he took a deep breath as he was let into he apartment. what was going on? he didn't like this. it wan't like her. he slumped down on the couch and pulled his phone out
*what is going on?*

Jaimie pulled out her phone and bit her lip as she replied.. "I'll come over in a little bit and explain everything. Just please please please stay home."

*this is silly Jaime...but I'll be here.* he replied before flipping on the tv

"Thank you." she couldn't portray enough relief in her text, but she'd shown him how much it meant to her last night. She had to protect him. And she would.

the officer plunked the bag down with a thud. there was obviously some weight to it. he slowly unzipped the bag and opened it up. Nikki crossed her arms over her chest as he pulled out all of her books for the year, pens, pencils, and pads pf paper with class notes. The officer handed the bag back to nikki
"I do apologize for that. you can leave now."
"please keep her away from me." Nikki pleaded taking her bag and rushing to the cab that was waiting for her
"Ma'am I think you should come with me." he said turning towards sam

Sam frowned. That made no sense. Nikki had to have the gun and ammo somewhere. Unless her call last night had spooked her. She knew Nikki wouldn't just give up, not after all the time she must have spent planning this. "What for?" Sam asked. "For being a concerned citizen? I haven't done anything wrong."

his eyebrows pulled together, "for harassing a minor."

Nikki could feel the guns rubbing against her thighs as she sat in the cab. it had been smart to move them and who was that crazy person. this was all too weird

"I was not harassing her. I was talking to her." She zipped her jacket. "If you're going to press charges then go ahead but if not I have a meeting to get to."

"I won't but she might and from what I saw and heard it sounds like she could have a case." he said bluntly

"She can try," Sam responded honestly. "Just...keep an eye on the school, please."

"good day ma'am." he said only as cordiality but he wasn't nice about it and he obviously believed Nikki

sam rolled her eyes and walked back across the road to get to her car

Ooc: yeah, but she's more worried about Nikki

the class came and went and Jeff was ready to be done. he felt bad but he was glad to be done with class

Brooklynn bounced anxiously in her seat. There had to be something she could do to keep Carl safe. There had to be. But for now she was in class. It would happen soon, she knew it.

the bell rang howling that it was the end of class, " ok so make sure to do your home work." jeff said with a smile, "I mean it."

Brooklynn got up and left, startled. It should have happened by now. The shooting... what was going on? Maybe the police had stopped her.

Jaimie hurried to her next class. Something had happened. What was it?

Paige gathered her things and headed to her next class. Somethhing must have happened to stop the shooting.

Sam made it back to her appartment and started pacing. She had to think of something else

Carl was glad when school finally ended. He felt distracted today for some reason. Like there was a sense impending doom hovering over him and he didn't like it.

Brooklynn met Carl by his locker, a big smile on her face. The police must have stopped it. Thank goodness.

Jaimie hurried home, wanting to be away from there. What had happened? Something had occured, something had stopped her from shooting everyone. How?

Jarid was glad to be done with his project. And he'd promised Paige that he'd spend tomorrow with her, so there was that to look forward to.

"Ready to go?" Paige said as she reached Jarid. "The hot tub awaits."

He grinned. "Sounds great. Just what I need after that day!"

"Your presentation was great," she said grinning.

"Thanks," he laughed. "I'm just glad to be done with it."

"It was by far the best one," she said as she grabbed everything she needed from her locker

He laughed again. "I don't know about that. But let's get out of here."

"ok," she zipped her jacket and headed for the door. "My dad sent a car to pick us up."

"Nice of him," Jarid grinned, slipping his own coat on.

Paige nodded, "I think he thinks your the reason I haven't tried to get expelled."

"Aren't I?" he asked teasingly.
