Jaimie watched with wide eyes. "Wow," was all she could come up with.

"Yeah, I would. Because its better to hope than give up."

Sam pushed the door closed as she kissed him back. "How was your week?"

Paige pushed him onto the couch and climbed onto his lap. "dinner later?" she suggested

Jeff grinned, " I do actually."

"Of course I want hope," Carl sighed, "I want to walk again and dance with you but i can't ignore the fact that...the likelihood of that happening is so very slim."

"Any time," Trish said with a faint smile, "anything else I can do?"

Sam's eyes widened, "really? Can I see?"

"Yes, later," Jarid grinned.

"But its better than no hope, right?" Brooklynn smiled sadly. "It would be better than giving up? You're not happy where you are, there is a chance you can change that."

"You'll talk to your mom for me?" Jaimie asked.

Paige grinned and pushed his shirt up to take it off

He pulled away, taking the shirt off and tossing it to the side.

She leaned in and kissed down his neck and across his shoulder

carl didn't reply for a while, "Maybe. but what if I do everything and work hard and nothing comes of it?"

Jeff grinned and pulled his shirt off. on his chest over his heart there was a simple black tattoo. It was a heart that worked in the word Sam...

He gripped her shirt and tried to pull it off her.

"Then at least you tried," she said softly, walking towards him and taking his hand.

"Thanks," Jaimie forced a smile.

"That's...wow," she said. She was speechless. Sam gently touched the tattoo as she looked up at him. "I don't know what to say."

"Think about it, genius, please. I think it would mean a lot to your mom. She just wants the best for you."

He pushed her back on the couch, gripping her waist.

"I know I just...I feel like she wan'ts it more so my dad will accept me again."

"He proposed," she smiled, "He wanted a family, though it's... its sooner than he'd wanted."

"Screw your dad," Brooklynn said, gripping his hand tighter. "Do it for you. Do it because you want it."

"Is that okay?" he asked.

Paige nodded, "better than okay."

"I wouldn't be too sure about that. he knew your family was a mess and he was ready to love and be there for you in everything and a new family was a new beginning..." she stopped taking a deep breath. she hated how her tongue would just run away with her. this is why she shouldn't stay put in one spot for too long.

Carl chuckled, "I...will...how long will you stand by me?"

Jeff smiled at her, "I...I love you too Sam."

Jaimie nodded, looking down. She blinked furiously, how did this girl know exactly what it would take to make her cry. "Yeah, yeah you're probably right," she said. Her voice cracked and she cleared her throat.

"As long as you want me to," Brooklynn replied. "I'm not going anywhere."

He grinned. "Okay, then let's go."

Sam leaned up and gave him a long kiss. He loved her, after everything she'd done he loved her. She didn't think it was possible to be this happy.


Paige grinned and jumped up, pulling him to her bed room

Trish pulled her into a hug, " I'm sorry. I said too much."

Carl smiled, " thats good to hear."

Jeff smiled into the kiss

Sam pulled away after a few moments, "I should finish dinner. You're probably starving."

He followed, grinning. "Do we need to uh, turn off the oven or anything?" he asked.

"No, no, it's... it's nice to hear sometimes, it's all just... I haven't wanted to think about it. It hurts too much."

She kissed his hand. "Well it's true."

"Nah," she said. she climbed onto her bed, "dinner is in the fridge."

"So you tried to not think about the one person who made you truly happy?" she asked a little confused

"Because he's gone. It hurt. Thinking about him and the fact that.. that we wouldn't be together again... It hurts."

"Okay," he nodded and got into the bed, grinning at her.

Trish pulled away and put a hand on Jamie's stomach, "But he ins't really gone...is he?"

She pulled him close and pressed her lips back to his, her hands running up and down his back.
