Paige shrugged, "I don't know. But I'm glad he does."


"I like being here," Sam said smiling.

"It's... It's okay." Jaimie shrugged. "She'll have to get used to it."

"Everyone likes you," he smiled and leaned down kissing her neck. "You're amazing," he mumbled against her skin.

Paige closed her eyes as she leaned her head back. "You're amazing."

He smiled and kissed down along her colar bone.

Her arms tightened around him as a moan escaped her lips.

His hands travelled up further, her shirt slipping up as well.

Paige pulled away slightly and stared at him for a moment before slowly pulling her shirt over her head and dropping it on the floor.

"Tell me if you want to stop," he breathed, one of his hands cupping her cheek.

"yeah I guess she will." Trish almost chuckled


Jeff smiled and kissed her. it was nice having her there

"I bet you didn't think having coffee with me would encompass so much drama," Jaimie gave a sad laugh.

"The lack of drama is over rated," she said with a shrug, " I don't mind helping Jaime."

"I can't fathom why, but... But I appreciate it." Jaimie closed the dishwasher and leaned against the counter.

"People have really disappointed you haven't they?" she noted after a minute

"I guess I just don't get why you'd care. I mean, what do you get out of this."

"Wow..." she looked down a little shocked, "you...I...must I get something out of it more than just helping?"

"Why would you help me? There must be something in it for you."

"the pride of a person well helped," she grinned at the paraphrase

"Seriously?" Jaimie asked. "Nothing else? No ones... I dunno, payingyou?"

"No...no one is playing me." she said her eyebrows pulling together

"Then I don't understand," she shook her head. "It doesn't make any sense to me."

"So to you anyone being kind just for the sake of being kind is wither playing an angle or is being put up to it?" she asked

"Why else would you do it?" Jaimie demanded. "If you're not getting anything out of it, there's no reason. Why would you want to deal with the drama?"

"I'm a girl in a new town looking for friends." she said pushing away from the counter, "I have always thought the best way to get good friends is to be a good friend." she siad with a nod and a few steps then looked at jaime, " Uhm I'll head out but...let me know when you are ready to have a friend and I'll be here." she headed for the door, "I'll see you around."

Jaimie watched her go, a bit lost for words. There was... There was nothing in it for her, she'd made that quite clear. However, she hadn't met anyone like that in a while. In fact the only person who came to mind was Braden. Was that sad?

Sam placed her hands on his chest as she kissed him back. She want to stay here, she didn't want to keep going back to her apartment.

"Of course not," he grinned.

She pulled his shirt off, "neither do I."

He tossed it aside and resumed kissing her,hard.

after a long kiss jeff pulled away, "how about dinner?"

Paige pulled away after a moment. "Where's your bedroom?" She breathed

"It should be done," Sam said. "Can you get plates?"

"Ill show you," he said, slipping off the couch and offering a hand to help her up.

Jeff nodded and grabbed two place settings

Paige took his hand and stood. She picked her shirt up but didn't put it back on.


"Do you want to watch a movie after dinner?" Sam asked after she got the food out of the oven

E led her back to a room painted in a dark blue and decorated with dark wooded furniture. He took a seat on the gray comforter. "This is it," he grinned.

Paige grinned, "it's nice." She pressed her lips to his. "Very nice."

He mumbled something against her lips as he pulled her into his lap.

"Sure," Jeff called from the dining room

"I'm not sure its right," she sighed sitting on the edge of the dock, "things, shouldn't be screwed with like that."
"Trish, you were brought here for a reason, and thats-"
"You don't have to remind me. you run a quaint little coffee shop so la tee da." she snapped
"Wow...no judgment here."
"I'm sorry I just get tense sometimes."
"I know...I know the feeling trust me but its not something I can just step in on." she splashed her toes in the water, "I like New York though its changed a whole lot in the last 150 years."
Trish chuckled, "I think you are still the only one that is allowed to stay put for so long. its kind of not fair."
"You wouldn't be able to stay put if they tied you done to the bottom of the Hudson."

She pulled away slight, "what was that?" She asked grinning
