She nodded. "Yeah he did."

He put his hand over his mouth for a minute, "jaime...im...im so sorry."

"Yeah," Jaimie nodded. "Me too," she said softly.

He suddenly wanted to leave and try to comfort her all at the same time. He felt like he was encroaching on some other guys space, a dead guy to boot.

She stood, going to her dresser and getting dressed. She should have just told him to leave, now he knew her screwed up past.

He silently followed the path of clothing getting dressed as he found things. He felt horrible calling her out like that. It had been so insensitive and mean

"I don't think you should assume things about people anymore," she said, following him out of the room.

"I suppose not." He said a little bitterly. He was never wrong about the women he slept with...ever

Jaimie nodded. "We should probably be getting back," she murmured.

He turned to face het pulling his shirt on, "who about..." He stopped and spoon his head, "yeah probably."

She slipped on her shoes and then her coat. She walked out the door, heading down to the street.

Peter followed her not saying a word. What was he supposed to say to the girl he screwed who lost her boyfriend in the school shooting.

The ride to school was silent. As she got out of the car she looked back at him. "Don't tell anyone," she said softly.

His eyebrows pulled together for a moment them his face lit up with understand, "oh...right." he tapped his chest about where the ring hung on her, "i might be an ass but im an ass who can keep a secret."

She nodded. "Good. Thank you."

He nodded before walking back into school through the front door. All side doors had been locked fir security after everything. He hated that they couldn't just slip in.

"Where were you two?" A security guard asked.
"He had to take me home," Jaimie said. "I wasn't feeling well."
"Name?"
"Jaimie Easmen. I'm on the list," she sighed, referring to a list of students who the counselor had decreed "unwell" and were allowed to go home if they so chose.
The guard found her name and allowed them in.

"So im your medicine?" He asked a bit sarcastically

"Hardly," Jaimie rolled her eyes. "You're just an escort to make sure i get home safe."

"ah...well good to know I guess." He Saud with the rolling of his eyes


Ooc: so how far can we go without tess in any of the rpgs

"Don't get attached Peter," Jaimie sighed. "This is nothing."

He shrugged,"whatever you say."

Jaimie rolled her eyes and stalked off to class.

School went as well as it could. She had gotten quite a few dirty looks from class to class but she wasn't going to let it get to her.

Jaimie saw Trish near the end of the day and made the decision to speak with her. "How goes the first day?"

She smiled turning to face Jaime, "its good. This is a good school. I mean it will take some getting used to for me...fire everyone...but it will be good."

"Brave," she observed. "How bad has it been?" She asked, meaning the other students reactions.

"not too bad yet. Mostly just glares but...I'm Uhm...bracing myself." She said with a shrug, "your friend from earlier seemed....nice."

"Friend is giving him a lot of undue credit. As is 'nice'." Jaimie replied with a cold laugh.

Her eyebrows went up,"oh?" She weaned to not be saying a lot with that

"He's an ass," Jaimie replied simply.

"i see." There still seemed to be more, "so why talk to him?"

"History," Jaimie replied. "And why not? It's not as if I have much else to do."

"Why do you say that?" She asked

"People here are idiots," Jaimie replied. "And I'd rather not deal with them. Once i am through this year I am out of here."

"Im sorry." She could almost feel this girl's pain even thigh she masked it well

"Because they're idiots? Yeah I'm sorry too." Jaimie rolled her eyes.

Paige had kept her head down at school since memorial week, she knew some of the student still thiught it was odd that Nikki had told her to skip school. She stood by her locker waiting for jarid to get out of his last class.

Sam had spent her day at Jeff's. She cleaned up some and made dinner and then watched TV. Her father had gotten in the habit of stopping by her apartment and checking on her after he was done work everyday nd he would always insist that she got out of the city once the trial starts. She was tired of saying no so she didn't go home.

"no...im sorry that you feel that way." She corrected but with no hint of superiority. She was trying to figure this girl out and it wasn't exactly working.

Jeff felt like school was finally getting back to normal, at least to some degree. He walked into his apartment his mind occupied elsewhere

Seeing Paige at his locker, Jarid grinned. "Hey you," he smiled before leaning down and going her a quick kiss. "How are you?"

"Oh," Jaimie nodded. "Yeah well..." She trailed off with a shrug. She didn't have many nice things to say about anyone at the moment.
