"Right." he had totally forgotten and that was not like him. he put his glasses back on, " lets come back sometime."

"Sure," she agreed. "Sounds like fun." Before that, she would have to study up, she wanted to do the more complicated moves. They looked like fun.

Paige grinned, ”yeah, neither have I. We should do this again."



Sam glanced at the bar tender then back to Jeff. "I'll come with, he's not my type anyway." The bar tender was flirting with another girl.

Carl smiled with a nod, "good." he offered her his hand

Jeff smiled and walked out into the throng of people

She took his hand and followed him with a small shy smile.

"Yeah that would be awesome," Jarid agreed with a grin. "Maybe next time you'll stand a chance."

Lloyd drove them back to her place and pulled up in front of the building, " mayI ...uhm...walk you in?" and he was back to feeling completely self conscious

"Of course," she agreed, thanking Lloyd as she slid out of the car.

Sam worked her way into the crowd, being careful not to get hit by the swaying arms. Sam smiled as she started dancing, swaying intime with the music.


"Now who's gettting cocky," she said, grinning. "I will personally help you with your hair."

"You have to beat me first," he pointed out. "But I hope you have some pink stuff to wear on Monday."

he smiled sliding out behind her, " I wanted to thank you again for inviting me out."

"I'm glad you could come. I had a good time," she nodded as they walked up to her door.

he stopped and turned to her, "I'm glad." he looked down at his feet. there was that blasted knot again.

"Well, uhm, good night." Before she could convince herself not to do it, she leaned in and pecked him on the cheek before going inside.

” I think I can find something,” paige said. ” it wont be anything fancy, I don't like skirts.”


Sam made her way deeper into the crowd, trying not to get lost among the people much taller than her. She could feel people dancing around her and hands brushing het hips.

"As long as it's pink," he shrugged. "Maybe next time it'll be a prom dress."

his head shot up to look at her as she walked in. his heart felt like it was going to jump right out of his throat.


ooc: next time jump could we move it at least a week or maybe like a month and a half (Halloween)


Jeff danced as well as a girl came up to him putting her hands on his arms. he smiled at her. as she came around he put his hands on her hips as they swayed in sync
ooc: have you ever been to a club?

” very funny ,” paige said. ” I dont even have a prom dress”



Sam danced with a cute guy that walked up to her. After a little while she wove her way back out, she needed another drink.


Ooc. Nope, I've never been to a club. Jumping to halloween is fine with me

the bar tender grinned at her as he served a guy then made his way to her, " you looked like you were having fun."

"You're a girl... how do you not have a prom dress?" Jarid was stupefied.

ooc: Ooooh yes, Halloween please!!

” I was,” Sam said. ” just getting a little warm. its hotter in there than it looks.”


” I wasn't allowed to attend prom at my last school so I never got a dress.” Paige shrugged, ” maybe I'll go this year.”

"You'd have to wear a dress," Jarid teased. "You ready to do that?"

Carl didn't say anything on the way home and Lloyd didn't ask. taking off his glasses he rubbed his eyes. he cringed realizing what time it was. he was going to be in deep.

he grinned, "well you definitely bring up the hotness factor."

” I don't know, it would be a big step, I'd have to wear heels.” Paige grinned, ” I think I'd survive.”


Sam laughed, ” well thank you. Could I have another whiskey?”

"If you think so," Jarid grinned. He stood, stretching. "You done?" he asked, motioning to the pizza box.

"Yeah, that was really good pizza." She streched her arms. "You ever been to prom."

"I went last year. I don't really see the big deal, I guess," he shrugged, picking up the box.

” halloween parties sound like more fun,” paige grinned. ” those are awesome parties.”

He got her her drink and nodded towards Jeff, "boyfriend?"

Sam glanced at Jeff then back to the bar tender. "Nah," she said. She'd never really thought about Jeff that way, not that she didn't find him attractive but she didn't want to risk ruining their friendship. "Just a really good friend."

"It could," she said, still smiling. "I never agree to go out with someone unless I know there name."

He chuckled,"fine...Trevor."

Jarid looked at the clock, surprised. "Oh yeah. Wow. The day went pretty fast," he said with a laugh.

ooc. true, but it's been years since she's seen him


"Nice to meet you Trevor, I'm Sam." She smiled. "And I am free next friday."


Paige stood up, "yeah it did. I guess I'll see you on monday."

"Yeah, sounds good," he agreed. "Thanks for hanging out. It was fun."

"Yeah, it was, really fun." She opened the door. "Bye."

He walked her to the door. "See you!" he waved. It really had been very fun.
