"You want to get some coffee or something." She offered

"Sure," Jaimie shrugged. "Do you have everything?"

Trish nodded, "you have a favorite place to go?"

"Sure. There's a place down the street." Jaimie pulled her bag over her shoulder.

"Lead the way." She said with a friendly smile her thumbs tucked into the back pack straps

Jaimie showed her out of school. "So why here? And now?"

She glanced over her shoulder at the girl," what do you mean?"

"Why did you come here?" Jaimie clarified. "To briarwood?"

"i was going to transfer at the beginning of the year. I have family here in new York and my dad got reassigned but there were some ..hiccups along the way" she looked down art her feat, " I took online classes, my uncle pulled some strings so that would happen then thtee days after we got here..." That sentence didn't need finished

"hey babe" Sam said as she walked into the hall. "how was your day?"


Paige grinned, kissing him back' "great now. How are you?"

Jeffs key jingles too the floor skipping out of his hands as he jumped at her voice,"oh...hey."

"Hey, sorry, I didn't mean to scare you." Sam said.

He let out a slight chuckle as he picked them up," yeah I gues my head was elsewhere."

"want to talk about it?" She asked

He shrugged," just school stuff."

"Really good," he smiled. "Any plans for the rest of the day?"

"Must have put a cramp in your plans," Jaimie observed.

She shrugged, "im here aren't i?"

Jaimie nodded. "Yeah you are." She agreed. "Here's the coffee place," she motioned to a small cafe.

"Do you come here often?" She asked pushing the door open

"Once in a while," Jaimie shrugged. "If I ever want to skip class for coffee."

She chuckled, "do a lot of kids skip?"

"Some. It's gotten harder, as security is tighter, but there are still loop holes."

She chuckled, "my cousin we right then."

"Right about what?" She asked as they got inline to order.

"its one of the better schools in the country be kids don't appreciate it...that's what he said " she shrugged,

"No, they don't." Was Jaimie's reply.

"So what's good here?" Trish asked as they moved close to the front of the line

"I always get the caramel latte. But almost everything is good here." She shrugged.

"uhm..." She began stepping up to the counter, "ill have a triple shot iced, soy, vanilla latte." She ordered, "and imm getting hers too." She gestured towards Jaime as she got her wallet out

"Caramel latte," Jaimie told the barista. "You don't have to do that."

She shrugged handing over get debit card," I do a lot of things I don't have to." The cashier took the card sweeping it and hitting s few buttons handing it back to Trish.

"Why?" Jaimie asked. "You don't know me, we just met today."

The barista called out the drinks and Trish took hers, "i think the better question is why not?" She said genuinely,"just because I don't know you well doesn't mean I can't be nice."

Jaimie took her own drink. "I guess," she agreed, though she wondered what the girls angle was.

Trish studied her face for a minute, "you don't trust people very easily do you?"

Ooc: ill be off for an hour and a half then off and on from there

"I've known very few trust worthy people," Jaimie corrected.

"nope," Paige said. "we can do whatever you want."


Sam nodded, "I made dinner, if you're hungry."

"Let's get coffee," he suggested, slipping an arm around her waist.

Paige smiled up at him as they walked out. "my dad asked how your were doing," she said. "he really likes you."

"That's good," he grinned. "Makes me feel better."
