Back when there had been less responsibility. Back when all her thoughts didn't revolve around the ranch. Not that she didn't love being there, but she would have liked a distraction. "So can I ask you a question now?"

"Why are you still single? I mean, you've definitely grown up in a good way," she said. She had to know, she hadn't really ever understood. Even in high school when he had been shorter and less handsome, he was still a great guy.

he nodded, " yeah he's a bit old fashioned that way. he thinks all men my age who could support a wife and family, should. I thinks its just because thats what he did."
