"Cam please don't shut down on me."

"How am I shutting you out? You want to be friends. We'll be friends then. What more do you want from me?" she asked, pushing herself up off the floor.

he stood up as well, " I...I guess nothing," he said with a nodd, " Can I fix you dinner?"

She shrugged, "Sure, if you want." If she was feeling cruel, she'd flirt with him, pulling her shirt down to make the neckline plunge and walk with a little more sway than she normally would, but she didn't have the heart to do that anymore, not to him.

he nodded and tuerned to get everything he needed for a good stirfry. she liked those. she liked everything he cookded. actually he couldnt' remember a time when she had complained...ever. he got to cutting and frying and every now and then he would steal a glance at her. he had a girlfriend back home who needed him...but he needed Cam

She leaned against the counter, her gaze resting on the wall across from her. She didn't know how to feel, she didn't want him to leave but she didn't want to get hurt when he realized that it was way too easy to get carried away with eachother.

it took about a half hour and the meal was ready. the stirfried veggies and meat, the rice and the dumplings. he set the table and dished two bige servings, " dinner's served."

"As always, it smells great," she said, pulling two cups out. "What would you like to drink?"

he shrugged," what do you have?" he asked. it almost felt like a tiny tast of old times...almost

"Water, juice, soda, uhhh, liquor, all that," she replied, looking through her fridge.

"Juice sounds good." he said as he sat down

She nodded and poured him a cup of apple juice, then a cup of water for herself. She set the glass infrotn of him, then sat at the other place set.

he took a few bites, " so how's school?"

"It starts in two weeks," she replied with a slight smirk.

he chuckled, " right," he said feeling like an idiot, " are you looking forward to them?"
