Briana sighed. "I was going to call you tomorrow. I didn't want to call you and then immediately have to go to meet everyone," she told him.

he didn't fallow her logic, " why not?"

"Because it would have been stupid," she said. "Calling you, saying hi and then having to go?"

"thanks Cera," Cam said, "How are you doing?"

She shrugged, "Alright I guess, you?"

he shook his head and let go of her hand as he started to walk again. that was just an excuse...yet again. she could have called and said she only a had a minute to talk and whatnot. maybe he was being too picky. was that too much to ask?

"I could be better," she smiled. "So I guess I'm just supposed to make sure you're eating and stuff..."

She rolled her eyes and walked along side him. What was the point of a two minute conversation? It was hardly worth it.

"Yeah," she nodded, "I don't really see why, I mean I am, I don't see why he dragged you down here to babysit me, it just means you have to sit around when you could be doing something better with your day, Sorry."

Cam snorted. "I hang out with Blane. I have nothing better to do with my day. Except maybe work, but I'd rather put that off for a few days."

"Bri...what is it that you want from this?" he asked finally

"What's that supposed to mean?" she asked.

"What do you do?" she asked leading her into the living room and taking a seat on the couch.

"I'm a literary critic, I work for a magazine. They pay me to read bad books and then tear them apart. It's pretty boring," Cam replied, sitting next to her.

She smiled slightly, "Why'd you do it then?"

"Cause I get paid to point out the miniscule flaws in books. And I do that anyway, so why not get paid for it? The only down side is that they assign the books."
