he sat back rubbing hid forhead, " its killing me Cera."

Lizzy watched James roll out then looked up at the doctor.

"Miss Grange, we just needed to get information about your condition before we give you any more medicine." She said.

Lizzy looked up at her curiously.

James sighed as he waited. what had he done?

"My condition?" She asked nervously wishing she had let James stay.
"Your pregnancy. " She clarified as if Lizzy knew.
"My what?!" She asked shocked. Her hand moved over her stomach. "How can that happen? I've been on birth control for years." She demanded.
"It just happens sometimes." The doctor said looking over the chart.
"How far am I?" Lizzy asked in a whisper. What would they do? Would James be mad? She closed her eyes but opened them abruptly when she saw flashes triggered by the thought of James being angry. She began to remember.
"I dont know...We can do an ultrasound to determine that." She said.
"Oh...um...ok thanks." Lizzy whispered. She could hear James voice ringing in her ears. The hurt came back. She remembered him pushing her against the window so she couldnt get the keys. He would trade her for his legs. What would he do when he found out?
"I'll be back in a little while." She said as she set the chart down.
"Ok, doctor....please dont tell him." She said nodding towards the door.
The doctor agreed and left Lizzy there shocked. She didnt know what to do it felt like her world was crashing down on her. She couldnt tell James. He would be mad when he found out. He had lied to her. It was one thing to lie to his mom, but to lie to her...that was completely different. She sat staring blankly her mind twirling and going through the past 24 hours.

James saw the doctor come out, " whats going on?"

"You'll have to ask Miss Grange." She said before disappearing down the hallway.

he wheeled into her room ," hey."

She jumped and looked up. "Hey." She said shortly.

he frowned, " what's the matter?"

She opened her mouth to spill everything but decided against it. It would be easier if he didnt know. "Sorry, it's nothing." She said trying to sound sincere. "Do you have Jasmine's number?" She asked quietly.

he wheeled closer, " I think somewhere in my stack of numbers....why?"

"I just...um...want to check on her....see if she's coming back for good." She said. She wanted to know if she still loved him. If she could take care of him.

he didn't buy that, " while you are in teh hospital?"

She nodded. "Yeah...or as soon as I can. I[ll be leaving soon." She said referring to the hospital, but meaning more. She gave a slight smile feigning as if it wasnt killing her that she knew he lied to her, and trying to hide the fear of the child growing in her.

he nodded, " Lizzy..." he rtolled up to her and took her hands, " it scared me so much when you just collapsed the way you did. I was...I was so scared."
