"It is totally up to you." he said putting his hands up, "its your birthday."

She thought for a minute, "lets go for a walk. I don't think I can eat anything else."

he nodded and stood pulling her chair out for her again as she stood, "where would you like to walk?"

"I dont know," she said as she pulled her jacket on. "Maybe to the fountain in the park?"

he smiled, " good choice." he helped her with her jacket as any gentleman would then offered her his arm

she smiled as she took his arm. "You're spoiling me, I'm not going to want to go back to normal life tomorrow."

"Thats sort of the point," he grinned as he led her out, "its your birthday...you should be spoiled."

"Then I'll have to spoil you on your birthday," she said as they started walking.

he shrugged, "don't worry about it."

"No, I insist." She looked over at him, "I'd promise to make you a cake but my cooking skills are nonexistent."

"Well lets not go there then." he chuckled, "I'll bake the cake."

"You can cook?" She asked, slightly surprised.

"I can." he smiled looking over at her, "pretty well if I do say so myslef."

"Can you teach me?" she asked as they got closer to the park. "I could...show you how to make really strong coffee in return," she offered.

this made him toss his head back a little and let out a decent laugh, "you got it."

She grinned, "I do have to warn you that the coffee can have some side effects, like lack of sleep and slightly erratic behavior.

"I can deal with that." he said still smiling

She looked away then back at him, a mischievous grin on her face. "Race you to the fountain," she said before jerking her heels off and running

"Cheater!" her said as he darted after her. she was fast...but he was faster. his training had to keep him in shape to run down people

She laughed, nearing the fountain. She could hear him right behind him. She knew he'd win but she wasn't going to give up

he was right on her heals. if he reached out he could touch her

She reached the fountain, breathing hard. She dropped her shoes, looking up at him with a huge grin on her face, her cheeks red from running. "That was fun."

he stopped as well slumping down on the edge of the fountain catching his breath, "you are fast."

she sat down beside him, "I run through the halls every morning before people start working."

his eyebrows raised," you are kidding right?"

"not allowed to leave the building by myself and I need to get my exercise in," she said. "So no, not kidding."

he chuckled, "I should introduce you to the exercise room."

"I'm sure the guards were prefer that to my running," she reached back and stuck her hand in the water. "Its warm."

"they keep it that way all year around," he said. then leaned over and started undoing the laces on his shoes

She watched him for a moment before leaning down and rolling her pants legs up. "Are there any rules about putting feet in the fountain?"

he chuckled, "not that I know of." he rolled his pants up and stuck his feet into the water. it was too deep to stand in without getting water all the way up his thighs

She stuck her feet into the water and looked up at the sky. "This is nice, its so peaceful and beautiful."

"It is." he followed her lead and looked up into the sky. with so few people here any more the sky had cleared up over the last year and a half

"When I was little my sister and I would lay outside and count the stars," she said. "We never got very far."

his smile turned almost sad, "I'm sorry things..happened."

She looked over at him. "We've all lost people. But it gets easier."

he nodded, "sometimes."

She nudged him, "enough sad talk, I dont want to be sad on my birthday."

"I'm sorry." he looked over at her then back at the sky, "what is your favorite constellation?"

She bit her bottom lip, thinking. "Probably Orion. What's yours?"
