"Maybe she's just finding it hard to adapt, she needs some time but I'm sure she'll be back to her old self soon," said Kate, as she caught up with her siblings.

"Adapt to what?" harry asked, " she grew up here."

"You ain't ever seen the film 'Sweet Home Alabama' have you... it's like Kate's life in a movie and it wasn't so easy for her to return to her hometown after living in new york. It's a big culture shock and it's gotta take some... getting back into a routine," she replied.

he rolled his eyes, " she could complain a little less."

"And you could complain a litte less about her complaining, but we don't all get what we want do we?" she replied, but smiled at Harry.

he half grinned, " are you always such a pain?"

"No, it's what I reserve just to annoy you."

he rolled his eyes, " yeah well then I will have to pay you back."

"Oh... and how were you planning to do that?" she asked, bracing for a sudden attack.

he shrugged, " I'll figure something out."

"Oooh, I'm scared now."

he grinned, ' oh...you should be."

"Shaking in my boots," she said with a smile.

he nodded slowly then in one step lurched towards her

It took her a split second to decide it was just a rouse by him so she stepped forward, continuing to walk just as she had been.

his one hand clamped around one of her wrists and he whipped her around to face him. before she could ract he and bent down and had her slung over his shoulder like a sack of potatoes

The sudden reversal of ground and sky caught her by supprise and before she knew it she was upsidedown, slung over Harry's shoulder. "Harry, put me down!" she wriggled, trying to return to her feet.

he chuckled his arms tightly around her legs so she couldn't go anywhere, " I told you I would pay you back...too bad its so cold because the horse troff looks like a good idea for pay back."

"You dare, you dare and I swear I will kill you," she promiced, but went limp all the same.

this made him all out laugh, " if it pneumonia wasn't a risk I totally would...you lucked out."

"Chicken," she muttered, grinning.

he raised an eyebrow, " you really want to go down that road?"

"I just knew you were all mouth," she ribbed.

'ok well if you get sick its not ,y fault, " he said as he started into a slow trot towards the horse corral.

"Threaten all you like, I know you still wouldn't do it, you're just using that as an excuse for not thinking of a good comeback," she replied.

his chuckle was lost int he shaking as he jogged, " just get ready to be really cold really fast."

"You do realise you'd have to do all my chores while I dried up cas Jeb wouldn't let me out in the cold when I'm soaking wet?" she pointed out.

he nodded as he climed the fence with her still over his shoulder, ' it actually might be worth it."

"Well it's you who'll have to do the work so you better enjoy this small moment," she replied.

"Harry!" Jed's voice came from behind them
harry groaned and turned around, " yeah?!"
" what do you think you are doing?" he asked firmly walking up to them
" I was going to give Kate a quick bath." he said with a chuckle
" I don't think so. put her down and get to work. I would rather not have to figure out how to pay for unnecessary doctor bills."
Harry sighed
" Now Harry!" Jeb barked
" Fine....fine...." he said setting kate down

Kate refrained from smirking until Jeb turned away.

as soon as Jeb was out of ear shot Harry turned to kate, " oh just you wait."

"Thats the same threat you made last time, and I'm still dry," she replied, being very childish and sicking her tongue out at him.

"Oh just wait till jebs not around," he said knocking her head off her head

"Oh I'll be waiting," she replied, she jumped up and stole his own hat then ran off toward the fence.

"hey!" he yelled after her and started running, " give that back you little punk!"

"You owe me one had for knocking mine off my head, you get it back, I might consider it," she shouted back, volting the fence.

he stopped and turned back, " oh you are asking for it little girl!"

"Yeah brother, bring it," she grinned, turning back to rest herself on the fence as she watched him go and retrieve her hat while his sat at a jaunty angle on her own head.

he picked up her hat and waved it at her but kept walking away from her with a grin on his face
