Lucy rolled her eyes and went back to tucking in the quilt around the bed.

Summer finished her side. "NExt room?" she asked after placing the pillows at the head of the bed.

Lucy nodded and picked up the basket of dirty sheets, carrying it to the next room.

Summer walked behind her with the clean sheets.

They were done soon after and Lucy tucked the dirty sheets in with the other dirty laundry to be done at te end of the week.

Summer took the empty hamper downstairs.

Jeb sat in the living room petting the sheep dog who was curled up beside him

Summer put away the hamper and walked through the living room. She headed up the stairs.

Jed wanted to think of something to say but nothing came to mind.

Summer went up to her room and closed the door behind her then went back to that folding of clothes. Afterwhich, she found something else to do.

Lucy came downstairs and sat on the couch on the other side of the dog, giving only a nod to Jed in recognition.

he took a deep breath, " are we doing this right?" he asked

"Doing what right?" she asked, looking over at her older brother. What was he talking about? Running the family? Running the farm? If they weren't doing it the right way, then she didn't know what the right way was.

"everything with Summer. Are we welcoming her back right? are we...." he wasn't one to question things he had done. Jeb was one of those guys that studied all his options and then settled for what he thought was best. end of story. there was no second guessing in that but lately he wondered alot

"I.. I don't think there is a right or a wrong way.... Anyway we did it, someone would have a problem with it... so I think we just have to keep going."
