"Ok." he gave the driver an address and in a few minutes they were at his house, " my patents are out." he explained as he got out and walked into the house without opening her door for her.

"Fine," she replied, noticing and marking for future refrence him being a jerk. She got out and followed him, her lips in a thin straight line.

he turned and walked backwards in front of her, " what? something bothering you?"

She smiled slightly, "why would anything be bothering me, Peter?"

he shrugged and turned away from her to turn on the lights a smile pealing across his face. oh he would have her going soon enough. she would be begging him to take her. this would be fun

"Nice place," she said, looking around the room. He was going to regret the things he'd said, she was going to make sure of that. He was going to hate her after tonight, but she was fine with that.

"Yeah its ok...wine?" he asked as he headed for the liquor cabinet

"Sure," she replied, taking a seat as she waited.

he got two glasses of red wine and set one in front of her on the bar as he stood on the other side, " interesting day?" he asked before his first sip

"Not really, it's dragged on for quite a while," she replied, picking up the glass and taking a sip. "And yourself?"

"Oh I had a very..." he paused to think of the word he wanted to use, " eventful day." he let a tiny grin show on his face."

"Well, congratulations to you then," she replied, with a smile. She wanted to smack him for being so cocky, but she had to play like she had given up, like he'd won.

"Why thank you." he took another sip, " any progress with teacher man?"

She shrugged. "Some. We got coffee together on Friday."

he raised his eyebrows trying to look stunned rather than amused which is what he was, " really? how did that go?"
