Lolita threw herself into the kiss whole heartadly and kissed him back with all the anger and fear and passion she had in her

Lolita's uncle saw no point in objecting to this embrace.


"Okay," sighed Giulietta, "how about these: Meseha is called Sally, Walid is called Paul, and Yuvati is called Vicky. We were already intending that most of their work would be done out of sight of customers; so hopefully we can still protect their identities without SEEMING to be hiding them."

Lolita cried as she kissed him and held herself to him. it shouldn't be this hard....its shouldn't be like this


Yuvati nodded and looked at Walid for what he would say to this

she half smiled at him, " it it help....it good."

Tactfully waiting for Lolita and Lowell to finish kissing for the moment, the uncle said to Lowell: "While we wait to hear back from Mr. Redfern, do you know any faculty members at your college who are NOT of the exact same political persuasion as you--believe me, I know about the bias in American colleges--and who might be willing to credit you with anything positive?"

"One, perhaps, in the Pre-Med program. His name is Charles Upton."



"Then hopefully, everything can still continue as we planned," sighed Claudia. "Now that it's night outside, shall we take that driving tour of the area that we were going to take, to make Wa--I mean, make Paul's family familiar with area landmarks?"

"I think that is good," replied Meseha.

"We already knew we would need two cars," said Giulietta. "I suggest that Amy, if she's willing, take Paul and Vicky, while Sally rides with Claudia and me, since she's our roommate now. We can go separate ways, and meet at the house around eleven."

Amy nodded, " I would like to help in any way I can."

"Thank you," said Giulietta, kissing Amy's cheek. "If it were all up to me, you would BE our head chef right now; but Uncle Rodrigo still has input on that."

So the two trios set out. Claudia, both as a car owner and as the only one of her trio familiar with this town, drove her car. Giulietta purposely took a back seat, insisting on Meseha/Sally sitting in front with Claudia, in order to make Walid/Paul's mother feel more like an equal with the other two women. Claudia decided to start by driving around the outskirts of Freeport, later going downtown, while Amy's party would be doing the reverse of this.


"I'll try also to contact Upton, then," said the uncle. "But don't worry, I won't tell him about Lolita's involvement in the situation."
