" Ok how about this only my top come off and my pants stay on?," Melody asked, now walking into their room.

" Thanks love that feels great," Melody told her husband, with a smile now placing her hands on top of his.

Melody smiled " If you be a good boy you can come closer to me if you want," melody told her husband, with a giggle.

Josiah laughed with her--inwardly rejoicing that the cheerful, affectionate Melody seemed to have returned to stay. " Well, I got a few medals in the Army, and I love you like crazy; that should count as being a good boy." Then he put part of his weight on his left arm beside Melody, while his right hand went on caressing her upper-front body...and his lips came down to start kissing her face and neck.


At Sarah and Jack's apartment, shortly before the time for the midday nurse visit, the phone rang. When Jack answered it, a girlish voice was excitedly babbling in what he recognized as Russian. He also recognized Sarah's name in the midst of the torrent of words--and remembered that one of the high schools Sarah had visited with Danny had had quite a few Russian or Ukrainian students. Bringing the phone to Sarah, he told her, " Darling, God's giving you one more chance to use your Russian."

Melody slowly pulled her leg up and placed them around his " I hope so," Melody told her husband, with a giggle.

Sarah's pale lips smiled up weekly at her husband, " how is that?"

Yanking his own shirt off, Josiah eased himself down onto Melody, still keeping some of his weight off of her, but now embracing her closely and kissing her with serious passion. His mind secretly marvelled at men saying they would be bored loving only one woman; for Josiah, the whole point was to find the right woman--and he knew he had.


Jack just handed the phone to Sarah, who heard the following:

"Menya zovut Yelena. Kogda vy vwistupili v moyom lysee, ya zadala vam vopros naschot vwibora priyatelya. Tepyer m'nyeh nado soobschit vam shto-to...."

This meant: " I'm called Yelena. When you gave a talk at my high school, I asked you a question about choosing a boyfriend. Now I have to report something to you...." It was followed by a tip. Yelena identified a particular grocery store frequented by the Russian immigrant community in Queens, and said it was heavily rumored that some Russian mafia members, in collaboration with some non-Russians, were using the basement of that building for a pornographic movie studio. Yelena realized that this was far from Sarah's precinct, but Sarah was the only person in authority whom Yelena trusted to make proper use of this knowledge without exposing Yelena to danger.

Sarah thanked the girl and when they had hung up she sighed, " Well Jack we are one step closer."

Leslie was in her bedroom studying, books sprawled out over her bed.

Scott stopped int he doorway and chuckled, " you look busy."

She looked up and smiled. "Oh of course not" she said sarcastically.

he walked over and kissed her, " you should take a break once in a while you know."
