When it looked as if the trouble were over, without immediately emerging from the mass of affection-starved children, Ranjit looked toward Mrs. Peaters. " How would you feel about the children, especially the older two, learning to do constructive things by some activity such as B-U-I-L-D-I-N-G M-O-D-E-L A-I-R-P-L-A-N-E-S?"


In her apartment, Giulietta sank back in her easy chair--formerly her father's--and gasped in long breaths, as if she had just surfaced from swimming underwater. When she felt normal, she grabbed her landline telephone and dialled Dakota's cell number.

Dakota sat on the edge of the fountain and sighed. She picked up her ringing phone and pressed it to her ear. "Hello?"

"Hello, Dakota? It's Giulietta. Did you just have some kind of breakthrough happen?"

"Yeah, I talked to Nate," she replied. She guessed Giulietta had had one of her feelings towards prayer or something.

she nodded then took a deep breath, "Mr..Ranjit can I speek with you out in the hall?"

Despite the fact that the unspecified pronoun could mean Glenda OR her mother, Ranjit took his chances and stepped into the hall with "her."

" The Lord told me to pray harder for you, Dakota. Of course I already do pray for you, but the Holy Spirit said a crux was being reached.* Are you _truly_ free of that unsavory young man? Can I tell Claudia so and be sure the story won't change?"

* These things really did happen many times with my Mary in her earthly life.

Glenda's mother stepped out into the hall fallowed by the young man, " I am glad that you were able to settle the kids down today but I need you to know a few things. kfirst off my daughter is a volnurable and breakable girl and I will do anything I have to to potect hre from people who might try and take advantage of that. second" she didn't even give him time to breath let aone respond, "I am doingmy Damn best for these kids and it isn't easy. waht happened to Glenda was partly my fault but I am trying still and withyou comming in offering things that I can't left and right isn't helping."
